Gifting joy: We’re supporting The Salvation Army ‘Christmas Present Appeal’ by donating set props

A young latino looking man rings a bell smiling, with a Salvation Army placard in the background.

The Salvation Army have launched their annual Christmas Present Appeal, collecting donated presents for children who might not otherwise receive Christmas gifts this year.

Off the back of our latest shoots for reality TV service Hayu, plus whisky brand Macallan, we found ourselves with a handful of props and items recently used on set and wanted to see them go to a good home.

We dropped off bags packed full of varied props to The Regent Hall, which provides many services, including a drop-in centre for people experiencing homelessness. They are currently looking to refurbish one of their counselling rooms, used to support homeless people, and will therefore be utilising a selection of our donated furnishings for this room. They may also use some of the winter dressing items from the Macallan shoot to give their venue a warming, festive feel throughout the season.

Any elements they cannot use for the appeal or within their counselling room, will be sold in their nearby charity shop, which raises money for services to assist those in recovery from addiction and homelessness.
