International Women’s Day falls on Sunday, March 8th this year. Mothers, sisters, wives, girlfriends… What would we do without them? We owe an enormous amount to the women in our lives, from the mothers who took care of us when we were sick, to the sisters who helped us when we had a heartbreak or couldn’t decide what to wear, many of them manage to juggle both a career and a family.
This is a day, dating back 108 years, to celebrate women’s achievements throughout history and across all nations. Like all years, international women’s day has a theme, this year’s theme is #EachForEqual.
This theme stands for example for the race towards gender equality while crushing stereotypes along the way. All of us need to actively choose to challenge stereotypes, broaden our perspectives, improve situations and celebrate women’s achievements. Together we can create a more gender-equal world.
